I can’t figure out how to delete my old post. Well, there is a delete button, but it doesn’t work, regardless of browser or OS. So until I can figure it out - and it’s not a high priority, I’ll just keep adding these to the top post..

Packing always makes me happy, and I’m glad to be getting somewhere again. As much as I like Arequipa, it’s good to leave. My bus is easy to catch, and the ride to Puno is relatively short. I have a window seat, which is nice, but I don’t get any sleep. I’m glad to be awake, since it’s a lovely ride through some very gorgeous mountains, once we get out of the clouds.

I wanted my post to be in order, so I’ve posted it with the original date. El Gato Negro and I were up til 3 a.m. last night working on this. It’s long, at over 5000 words, but there was a lot to say.

January 3rd - 14th
What a great town. Arequipa is what I’ve come to expect from these towns and cities I’ve travelled through. It’s clean, people are friendly, and you get charged what you would expect. It’s a great change from Cusco.

Arequipa, Peru
Today I got a haircut.
I couldn’t tell if it my the person cutting my hair born a woman or a man. Decent curves (oddly enough, I don’t know if the men here have curves or not. It’s never been important to me before), full breast, long hair, very long nail - all woman. BUT, man hands, very deep voice, and well, that just kind of forced femininity (long hair, very long nails.) With the long hair I couldn’t get a good look at the adams apple, which is supposed to be a give away. I didn’t want to stare, because if it’s a woman, I’m looking at her breast, and if it’s a once-man, then I’m looking at his secret. And they’ve got the scissors.
