Cusco, Peru
Lou Tells me that my last entry was somewhat negative, and I guess it was. I was getting a little tired of the hassle of the street vendors, kids, etc. We decide to get out of the city, and it’s one of the best ideas Lou’s had.

I’m not quite up to date on my photos, but I’m getting better at it. Here they are. I’ve also updated my last Lou entry to include a few pictures.
Enjoy.

I just realized today is six months that I’ve been on the road. Granted, I was in Peggy’s basement for part of it (which is much better than being in her doghouse), but six months without a house to call my own is quite an accomplishment.

Louis Comes in on Christmas Day, at 8:10 a.m., just like he promised. He’s doing remarkably well for someone who’s been traveling for 24 hours.

Cusco, Peru
My flight, at 6 a.m. is very, very early. I wake up at 4 a.m. and have my taxi ride at 4:30. With a little less than 4 hours of sleep I’m beat, and hope to sleep on the plane. One nice thing about being up so early is that there isn’t any traffic. There are odd things I pass as we ride through the city. The occasional restaurant open, more than one gambling hall that had quite a few people looking like they’ve been having one heck of a time. I get to the airport, and find all aspects of the check in to be relatively quick (getting a ticket, paying the $5.04 departure tax, security, etc.) It was very nice all around, even though I’m a walking zombie. We ride a shuttle bus to the airplane, an Airbus 320. There aren’t very many people on the plane - maybe only 10% full. We have to wait 20 minutes on the tarmac. As I’m looking around, at the end of the airport are three burned out husks of planes. These weren’t old planes - they were about the same size and design as the one I’m on. Just sitting there, burned out husk of multi million dollar planes.

Lima, Peru
Hey Lima,
It’s me. How are you doing? Yeah? You seem upset - Is there something wrong? Yeah, I know, I said a lot of things I shouldn’t have. I know - I’m like that sometimes. Try to understand where I was coming from - you were a bit stand-offish yesterday. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have said anything to my friends. I´m really sorry. It was my way of dealing with it. If it makes you feel any better, I’ll tell them what a great time we had today. Oh, come on.. give me that smile. You’re pretty when you smile. What about one more chance. What if we have a nice a day as we did today? Maybe we could have that every day? Come ‘ere you….
